Planetary gearbox is a widely used industrial product that can reduce motor speed and increase output torque. Planetary reducers can be used as supporting components in industries such as lifting, excavation, transportation, construction, robotics, and CNC cutting machines. So, what are the factors that affect gear temperature rise in daily operation?
1. The viscosity of the selected gear oil is too high, making it difficult to dissipate heat. Because the heat transfer effect of high viscosity oil is worse than that of low viscosity oil, the temperature rise will be more significant than that of low viscosity oil. Therefore, when selecting the appropriate load level, low viscosity gear oil should be chosen as much as possible.
2. For newly installed gearboxes, due to the need for a certain amount of running in time, the equipment has not yet entered the normal wear stage, resulting in an increase in the temperature of the planetary gearbox teeth, which is a necessary stage for the normal operation of the equipment. So the first oil change cycle of the new gearbox is relatively short, and the cleaned abrasive is carried out through oil change.
3. Excessive oil and high oil level affect the normal heat dissipation of planetary gearbox gears. Attention: Excessive or insufficient fuel can affect the heat dissipation effect.
4. The planetary gearbox is overloaded, the oil film is broken, and there is a tendency for wear and failure. The friction and wear between gear pairs are significant, leading to an increase in tooth surface temperature. According to the load situation, the appropriate viscosity grade or load grade oil should be selected. For example, extreme pressure gear oil and high viscosity oil are beneficial for lubrication, but they also have a negative impact on poor heat dissipation.
