Damage and repair methods of gearbox components

The gearbox has been in use for a long time and produces various vibration noises and other situations, indicating that the internal parts of the gearbox are damaged and should be repaired or replaced. Now we will explain one by one:
(1) Gear wear mainly includes tooth surface wear, gear tooth breakage, gear shaft hole or keyway wear
(2) Wear at the bearing hole of the reducer, screw hole thread failure
(3) Wear of gearbox shaft surface, wear of keyway, and bending of shaft, etc
For the different failure modes mentioned above, on-site repair and replacement of parts repair methods can be adopted.
For non surface wear such as shaft faces, shaft holes, keyways, etc., electroplating can be used to restore the original part accuracy. The bending of the shaft can also be straightened using a press machine. For damages such as gear tooth breakage, there is no other way but to reprocess new parts. These are just remedial measures after the fact. To ensure the service life of the reducer, the key is to choose the right type when purchasing, ensure a high safety factor, strictly follow the instructions for use, ensure lubrication, and avoid overload. If there are any abnormalities during the operation of the gearbox, it should be checked early and the fault should be eliminated before use.
